Reasons are that most of the time you don't really get to know the person. You don't have to worry about the problems you have at home while you are with your lover. The cheater is really living in a fantasy that comes crumbling down once they are married.

This is generally more true of women than of men. A man may have an extramarital affair because a good looking woman or younger woman approached him at work. Some guys just can't control their impulses. How happy they are at home may or may not play into this. So don't think just because your husband is happy at home he will not have an affair.

This has been written about in some other articles also. And yes I feel if a woman thinks her man is cheating in a lot of cases this is true. The problem is most people think their spouse is trustworthy like they are, so they are caught totally off guard when the affair comes out.

Most people that are involved in affairs are excellent liars and very good at hiding things from their spouse.

There is no cheater profile that I know of. We would have 100s of profiles. I have never counted the reasons someone may have an affair. It is true that certain types of individuals have numerous affairs.

Its like a game to them and they are addicted to it. But that's not true of most people. An affair will probably happen almost by accident. It will be on you before you know what happened.

The good thing about these types of affairs - they usually don't last long and if you do find out about it you are more likely to be able to save your marriage if you want to. They are just a fling and the excitement wears out pretty fast. A lot of times the betrayed spouse will never know it happened.
